Thank you for visiting our AVON 39 team page! Team Brave and Strong is named after the motto "We are brave and we are strong" that my son Zack and I said every day in 2014 and 2015 when I was going through breast cancer and he was waiting for a heart transplant, two unimaginable crises at the same time.
I'm thrilled that 4 amazing women Beth, Leigh, Sharrie, and Hillary, have joined me in the fight to end breast cancer. We'll spend the next few months training to walk 39 miles together in May in DC, and raising money to help crush breast cancer.
We all know that there's strength in numbers, so it’s with great strength that we’ll work and walk toward putting an end to the suffering caused by breast cancer. We each have our reasons for participating - - whether it’s a personal fight with breast cancer, the struggle or loss of a loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause.
We will be walking in honor of all the survivors in our lives and in memory of those who fought their best fight against breast cancer. Click on our individual pages to learn more about why we are walking.
We've each made a big commitment. Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations. But because we're in this together, we know that, with your help, we can reach our goal of $9000.
Please support our team. You can make a tax deductible donation to our team which will get divided up among the 5 of us, or to any team member by clicking on their name, and you’ll be taken to their personal page. If you'd prefer to write a check, just contact one of us and we'll send you the form and information.
Please check back here frequently to see how we're doing, and thanks in advance for your support!
Jessica, Beth, Leigh, Sharrie, and Hillary
